- Butter, softened
- 1 Cup
- Sugar
- 1 Cup

- Vanilla (Mexican Vanilla works best)
- 3 Cup
- Flour
- 1 Tsp
- Baking Soda
- 2 Tsp
- Hot Water
- 1/2 Tsp
- Salt
- 2 Cup
- chocolate chips
- 1 Cup
- Walnuts (Optional)
So pleased with these cookies and I think you will be too! I used Mexican Vanilla which can give your cookies a nice twist. I would suggest also using mini chocolate chips for this cookie you will get more chocolate yumminess while eating the cookie.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cream together the butter, white and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Add vanilla (I like using Mexican Vanilla).
- Dissolve baking soda and salt in hot water and add to batter
- stir in flour, chocolate chips (nuts are optional)
- roll into 1 1/2 inch balls, place on lined cookie sheet and slightly press down.
- Bake for 11 - 13 minutes in the preheated oven until edges are light brown and center of cookie is set.
